The purpose of the study visit is to strengthen economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand

On Friday afternoon, May 12th, 2023 H.E Yeth Vinel, Under-Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and Deputy Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the PFM Reform Steering Committee (GSC), representative of H.E Ros Seilava, Secretary of State of MEF and Secretary General of GSC, accompanied by H.E Um Youthy, Head of Administration, Finance and M&E Division, Senior Specialists and Specialists of GSC led a delegation from Cambodia, including his excellencies deputy governors who are the representatives of provincial administrations and representatives of the 25 capital-provincial Departments of Economy and Finance to Trat Province, Kingdom of Thailand to discuss and learn about economic development. The purpose of the study visit is to strengthen economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand and to learn about experiences for updating SWOT Analysis Report.

On Thursday afternoon, May 11th, 2023, H.E Yeth Vinel, Under-Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and Deputy Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the PFM Reform Steering Committee GSC, representative of H.E Ros Seilava, Secretary of State of MEF and Secretary General of GSC, accompanied by H.E Um Youthy, Head of Administration, Finance and M&E Division, Senior Specialists and Specialists of GSC organized a study visit on public financial management and local economic development in Koh Kong province. The study visit was co-organised by H.E Somkhit Vien deputy governor of Koh Kong province. During the study visit, the delegates visited 2 factories which are HANA Microelectronic company and KNN apparel factory. The delegates also discussed with the representatives of the special economic development zone to find out more about the development in this economic zone for the basis of updating SWOT Analysis Report.

The study visit was attended by his excellencies deputy governors who are the representatives of capital-provincial administrations and representatives of the 25 capital-provincial Departments of Economy and Finance.

On Friday morning, May 12th, 2023 at Trat provincial administration of Thailand, the General Secretariat of the PFM Reform Steering Committee (GSC) led by H.E Yeth Vinel, Under-Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and Deputy Secretary General of GSC, representative of H.E Ros Seilava, Secretary of State of MEF and Secretary General of GSC, accompanied by his excellencies deputy governors, the representatives of provincial administrations, H.E Um Youthy, Head of Administration, Finance and M&E Division, representatives of the 25 capital-provincial Departments of Economy and Finance, Senior Specialists and Specialists of GSC organized a study visit on public financial management and economic development in Trat province to learn about the experiences for updating SWOT Analysis report. Taking this opportunity, the delegation of the Kingdom of Cambodia also met with Mr. Kanchai Thepvorachai the Deputy Governor of Trat Provincial Administration to exchange knowledge between Cambodia public financial management reform program and the development of Trat province.

organize the second Dissemination Workshop on book titled “Public Financial Management-Cambodian Experiences” for 2023 Medium-Ranking Officials of the Royal School of Administration, approximately 300 participants

On Tuesday, 13th June 2023, at 9:00 AM, at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel, General Secretariat of PFM Reform Steering Committee (GSC) cooperated with Royal School of Administration to organize the second Dissemination Workshop on book titled “Public Financial Management-Cambodian Experiences” for 2023 Medium-Ranking Officials of the Royal School of Administration, approximately 300 participants. In this morning workshop, the opening remarks was delivered by H.E. Youk Bunna, Permanent Secretary of State of Ministry of Civil Service and President of Royal School of Administration, with welcoming remarks delivered by H.E. Um Youthy, Head of Admin, Finance and M&E Division of GSC, representative of H.E. Ros Seilava, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Secretary General of GSC. This workshop aimed at raising awareness and increasing the public participation in contributing to support the mission of the Royal Government of Cambodian to build a strong and resilient PFM system, aligning with international standards and best practices.

preparing a study report on the impact of shocks and crises caused by COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine War on Cambodian socio-economic and public financial management

On Friday morning, 16th June 2023, at 09:00 AM, H.E. Um Youthy, Head of Admin/Finance and M&E Division, representative of H.E. Ros Seilava, Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance and Secretariat General of General Secretariat of the PFM Reform Steering Committee (GSC), accompanied by senior specialists and specialists of GSC led a meeting to discuss about preparing a study report on the impact of shocks and crises caused by COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine War on Cambodian socio-economic and public financial management. The meeting aimed at discussing to collect inputs including comments and related data for a comprehensive and consistent analysis report in accordance with the current situation. The meeting was participated by technical consultants of GSC, his excellencies, and specialists, representatives of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, General department of Budget, General department of International Cooperation and Debt Management, and General Department of Policy of MEF.

the SWOT analysis report of Koh Kong Province

On Thursday morning, May 11th, 2023 at Koh Kong provincial administration, the General Secretariat of the PFM Reform Steering Committee (GSC) led by H.E Yeth Vinel, Under-Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and Deputy Secretary General of GSC, representative of H.E Ros Seilava, Secretary of State of MEF and Secretary General of GSC, accompanied by H.E Um Youthy, Head of Administration, Finance and M&E Division, Senior Specialists and Specialists of GSC organized a study visit on public financial management and local economic development in Koh Kong province,  co-led by H.E Somkhit Vien deputy governor of Koh Kong Province .  In this occasion, the SWOT analysis report of Koh Kong Province, prepared by department of economy and finance under the Public Financial Management Reform Program was also presented for comments. 

The study visit was participated by his excellencies deputy governors, the representatives of provincial administrations, representatives of the 25 capital-provincial Departments of Economy and Finance and officials in Koh Kong provincial administration.
